Driver's seat foam replacement

Seems the foam has compressed / failed at 48k miles as the leather looks wrinkled and sitting in the seat is a bit uncomfortable after an hour or so. I found a replacement Ford seat pad for around $119.00. Was wondering if anyone has done this and how much of a pita it is? Might be worth taking it to an upholstery shop?

I purchased my Stang with nearly 30k on it so I don't know what the cushioning feel was like new. In checking, I learned that my heat/cool seat has a perforated plastic sheet to permit air flow. Because of that, I'm not expecting a cushy feel.

That said, I have "leather" seat covers have a slightly wrinkled appearance. Maybe you have a similar visual concern that plays into your comfort concern.

Maybe someone can confirm that the Mustang's premium seating surface material is genuine leather. If so, I recently came across a recommendation to shrink genuine leather. The suggestion was to get the leather fairly moist, not drenched moist, and then dry it out using a blow dryer/heat gun. [Of course if the material is PU (polyurethane simulated leather) don't do it. (If you apply much heat to PU you'll end up having to replacing your seat covers for sure, as polyurethane is a plastic.]

The seats are quite easy to remove and the seat base strips down easily (I put a replacement cover on my recaro).
