Drilling the PATS transceiver

At our dealership we get at least 2 theft attempts a month. About twice a year they are successful. The latest attempt they took straight from the internet. There is hack floating around that if you drill the transceiver with a large bit that it will hit multiple contacts inside the unit and thus allow the vehicle to start.

Not true.

Just means you now have a vehicle that won’t start period.

Well thankfully to the uneducated who posted that now confirmed "myth", the cars weren't stolen, right? Gotta love the power of the internet and the sheeple who think everything on it is true...
