Can they remap for fuel eccom? Just joking.
Serious question now. Are the remaps hidden, can the stealer see them in the event of a warrantee claim?

Looks very good.

I guess the output shown is bhp rather than rwhp.

If Lund can't hide tunes over in the states, I doubt it can be hidden here

What a great peice of kit, i had owned one of these for a focus st before, they got it ticking from 225hp to around 270/275hp, that was with no other mods, once you started to add bigger intercoolers, induction kit, downpipes, decat pipes ect it was rolling at 305/310hp, you basically buy it with 5 lives for around £4/500 and everytime you sell it on it will lose some value and one of its lives, the good thing about that car was you could take it on and off your own car often as you like without it losing another life, the fuel economy wasnt much worse either on its quickest map, still hovered around early 20, any st owner would tell you its the best mod you can own and i hope the mustang version is just as good, great find Gibbo205

FINALLY you've come up with a mod I don't have an immediate urge to pursue Gibbo205 :)

Great news for those interested but the 400bhp stock will do me for a while and I'd imagine there'd be an impact on the warranty should there be an engine problem.

SteveS, far as im aware if you bin the car and the ecu is a write off, i dont think you could remove the map from it, though at the same time if its a warrenty job putting the ecu back to stock is easily done in 5-10 mins? Dont know what software ford may have to tell someones been pis*ing about with it

I'm just aware from a lifetime in IT that if there's software involved there'll be a log file somewhere. I tend to worry about everything though; i'm sure it'll be fine :D

Haha, yeh ive not heard a horror story from the maps yet but im sure it has happened somewhere, anyone playing safe will probably wait until their 3 years are up on it then go crazy, its one of them ones though, those who currently have the mustang will know if it is quick enough for them, if you want that extra punch then its there.

Similar experience. I had there Turbo X mod on my Focus ST and the car was running 320bhp from stage one mods which was very strong. Not much difference in fuel economy either, so i will be looking into this too. On there Facebook site they are working on a exhaust for the Mustang too so hopefully they put together an all in one package to make life much easier for everyone.

As with all IT, deffo be a log that the ECU changed, that being said, for warranty purposes, i doubt a ford engineer will ever know - unless there's a tune switch of some sorts. For the car crashing, and being a write off, ecu will probably be wrote off too, not sure if we've got any insurance experts, but, would they really check to see if the ecu is tuned? or just see a mangled mustang?

Have they got anything for the EB gibbo?

Mod X was the favourite after dsci ran its course, if they go down a similar route as the ST you will find a range of maps with some offering a shunt in the back and some like performance plus map to increase the mpg, i think the ecoboost engine with benefit alot from it, since there previous experience comes from mainly turbo engines, I'm sure Jerad at DS will be able to advice on logs and evidence left behind, gives you a lot of info and emails with support ect if you own one

If you flash the factory tune back, they can't tell what WAS in the computer before but they can tell something was, at least the computer used in the US. It logs the times it was flashed. In the US that has been deemed prima facie evidence of an aftermarket tune if there are more flashes than done by Ford or dealers. Maybe the laws or computers are different there. I don't know if getting a separate computer just to use with aftermarket tunes is a possibility. If a dealer has to marry a computer to a car and a record is made or if said marrying makes the car not recognize the old computer, would defeat the purpose.
