The last mustang I owned was a 2010. It was a Supercharged 1998 BAB Mustang Cobra. This year I will turn 60 years old and am fortunate enough to be able to live out another dream. I do a ton of research before I make a substantial purchase and today I pulled the trigger. 2022 FJG Mach 1. It showed up at a local Chrysler dealership with only 1,800 miles. It was a local trade. The car was lowered and had all the striping removed. I think it looks totally awesome. Anyway I will do an extensive photo shoot and post in the next few days. Wow these things drive AWESOME!!!

Chiming in here as you and I are of similar “vintage”. I bought my ‘19 Bullitt new to use as a true Grand Tourer: eating up large stretches open highway. Yes: these do drive awesome!! So smooth, comfortable and effortless at speed that the wife doesnt mind (much) cruising the highways at 90+ for long periods. Congrats on purchase! Awesome car!

Congrats! I have to agree the lack of stripes is REALLY nice on that color. I don't think that I'd replace them.

Might be just me, but FJG without stripes looks pretty dull to me. It's just how I see it, no offense to anyone, it's all very subjective when it comes to colours and looks. The stripes add a lot of contrast and take it to a whole new level, and light grey is not a colour that pops on its own at all, almost looks like primer.

Congratulations you are in for some really unbelievable times. Especially with the manual trans. Coming from a rather boring C8 automatic trans with a push rod engine that has a 6500 red line. Plus a very quite exhaust that when you hold a gear you don’t hear the engine. Even though I had the Z51 so called performance exhaust. The mach 1 is so much more visceral experience behind the wheel. I mean night and day. So glad I traded in the C8 plus $25K back in cash. Sold it before it lost more value in 2023.
Last year I test drove a used manual mach 1. I was able to run it at WOT. Boy I was sold on getting one and it took 5 months before I found a new one locally. Now just need to break her in.
