Im SC’d, and was determined to make my Michelin Pilots work with about 630whp. I wanted a street car not a drag strip car. After a fair amount of suspension work I liked it even less. No traction below 4th gear and never felt planted. Just put on 555 R2s (19” 305) and 555 G2s (19” 275) and OMG the difference. I love my mustang again. It still probably will not hold a dig but today it held second just fine. It’s a blast to drive now. I haven’t tried other brands but I will never go back to the Michelins for sure. Without trying the other brands I’m a huge fan of nitto.

I wound up with Mickey street r’s and with just under 500 hp it pretty much sticks through all the gears. Night and day difference

I know exactly what you mean. I go back and forth with wheel/tire combo changes depending on the weather. The Nitto combo works for me also. I'm going to switch from my Conti ExtremeSport 02 to my Nitto combo this coming weekend if it isn't raining.
