nt05 are good on the street. They last 5k miles depending on burnouts.

I have NT05R 305 on my 19x11 rears. They hook up awesome for about a week. After some heat cycles they dont have any more grip than my regular tires unless I give them the full-fledged standing burnout and 15-25psi treatment, and then they are awesome for a pass or two.

I wont use them for daily again because its not worth the poor handling for a tire that doesnt hook up any better with basic street conditions. I would just put them on at the track where I can get the heat into them that they need to do their job... and by the time im doing that I will probably be putting on an even more serious tire.

To add to this, I have driven in the rain on many drag radials and fully intended to use my Mustang on these tires in the rain as well. That said, the NT05R is just fuckin downright dangerous in the rain. I have never ever imagined a tire to perform so poorly in the rain other than a full slick. I laughed when people asked me if I was going to drive these tires in the rain... of course I would, ive been driving cars like this on drag radials forever, doesnt bother me at all to have a car that skates around a little in the wet. But this is a league of its own. To even let off the gas and coast in gear often causes hydroplaning through engine braking. It is almost comical how, not only useless, but utterly hazardous the car is in the rain with these tires. 35mph has proven to be the absolute limit with these tires in the wet where there is any chance of even the shallowest standing water.
