I'm tired of street tires..... I was wondering what 19" tire will hook me and handle well on street. I know DR is not best for a manual, but I was going to put a set of DR's on the stock rims for now. What kind of 60Ft's should I be able to pull?

I have debated a 17" rim and radial... but I wanted front to back to look the same. Doing this because it is cheaper than a whole new setup for track when I only go every now and again.

Thanks in advance.

Really good question. I have the NT05r 305/35r19. I can give you information on them when I go to the track on Wednesday and Friday. Some people have been 9s on them with s550's.

It will be on Radial on Wednesday. Right before the track opens, I'm getting them put on.

I have them on the street now. They obviously don't feel as stiff in the turns as the Pzero's did but they hook very well for me. It still feels very safe through tight turns as long as you are not pushing the limits. Very safe for carving turns carefully but thats not what their for of course. Rain is a different subject. I will not drive this car in the rain unless I have no choice. I have heard that they can be ok if you take it very easy and i have heard some say that it was scary even going slowly. My car is a weekend street brawler that does not see rain so its no big deal to me. I would also figure only 3 or 4k miles out of them with hard driving. So far I am very happy with them, almost 1k miles on them so far. Hope to hit the track soon to see how well I can 60ft with them. If it wheel hops I will back out of it. Not trying to break any axles.

Do you have the 305/35/19's on 9.5 inch rim? If so how is the fit?

I do have that size and have had them on the stock PP rims (9.5) and my current M600 wheels (11). The car handles better with the wider rims since the tires are very wide and hang over on the stockers. Both provide great grip on the street. My buddies 1LE camaro makes about 500whp and uses the goodyear F2 tires on his. I can put a few cars on him easy from a dig. We are about dead even from a roll.

Today I got a new PB. I got a best 60ft of 1.78 spinning.1st time putting them on, and driving on them was today. Overall im a bit pssied I couldn't leave harder. I can't blame the tires, but the number was there.

Yeah, I would like to know some specifics too. What kind of burn out for warm up and what pressure. I was planning a 16psi cold pressure and 3-5 second 2nd gear burn out. I'm gonna try leaving around 3500-4500 with a little clutch slip as I'm letting it out. If it wheel hops I am letting out. On the p-zero's I could not go full throttle in first or second with out wheel hop. Hoping the bmr lockout and drag radials will help a bit. I still cut a 1.9 on the stock tires with partial throttle and clutch slip. I'm hoping for a 1.7 at least. I should be well in the 11's with that.

If your looking for a tire that will offer better traction but will perform decently on the street. I'd go with the Nitto 555R. It's a compromise tire. It wont offer the best track traction off the line. But it will handle better on the curves. You'll also get more tire life. Because the rubber is a slightly harder compound. For a pure drag tire. I'd use a MT E/T street. Or a Nitto NTO5R.

I have had multiple low 1.5 60ft with the nto5r.Burnout depends on prep,u can hear the tire when it starts biting good then just roll to the line.I usually run 16 to 18 psi and if the prep is good i have to launch at least 4.5 to 5k then hold on lol. They are a good tire for track and street.

What other suspension mods do you have. The best 60ft I can get at of the nitto is a 1.62
