Has anyone had issues with this driver side door part popping when opening the door to about 50% open? Did it need to be tightened or fully replaced if you experienced it? Going into dealer for a different issue but asked them about this and they said they would not look at this issue because its for "a body shop to look at".

I'm assuming its a hinge, if anyone has the part number that would be great.

I would try some WD40 or similar first and see if that helps.

It's not a hinge, it's the door check, it's designed to hold the door open, partially or fully, so that it doesn't swing freely.

My 2021 did it and I took it to Ford under the " Ford Blue" warranty and they said it was the window and they adjusted it.
I was confident it was that door check also.

Very common on coupes that have large doors for the door checks to wear prematurely

I would lube the door check with WD 40 as Reap suggested or maybe some silicone spray

White lithium grease is better for this. WD40 is not lube.

That’s when I decided to let Ford fix
Mine under warranty. Added line and the popping didn’t change.
Mine was a rental and the only thing carfax said was damage to the drivers side door so guessing it was replaced or repaired and they left something loose.

Thanks everyone. It is shifting to the left which seems to make the popping noise. It is already hand tight
