driver door ajar issues

Hi, i have a 2017 gt & all of a sudden having issues with my door being “ajar” even when shut completely. i was trying to fix my tweeters at the factory amp in the driver kick panel & when all was said and done, started the car and dash just says “driver door ajar”. the window opens and closes normally when opening and closing the door but dash warning still stays on no matter what. idk what to do

If you were in the kick panel area messing with things - go back and check that you didn’t accidentally jar something loose. Check all wiring connectors and make sure they’re totally secure. Make sure no wires are damaged and make sure no wires were pinched when putting things back together.

The door harness runs through the A-pillar area to the kick panel area. If a wire was pulled too tight or pulled enough to cause a connection issue, it will cause shorts.
