I know what you mean. I had 9,000 miles on my Veloster before I found out about catch cans. I'd never had a turbo before so I wasn't familiar. I wouldn't worry too much about the past though. Besides, the cars are intended to run without cans. But I feel better knowing that I'm keeping the engine cleaner with the can.ugh I just got mine and have yet to install it. I have to say I am quite worried with over 6k on the odo, heavy winter usage, and am JUST getting my can :(
It's my opinion that it's potentially diluted and or contaminated. But you know what they say about opinion's. Lot's of UPR fanboys in these separator threads that I've read.I plan on emptying mine into a container, but I thought about that the other day, is the oil collected in the can bad?
There are done pretty funny catch can threads on here, none lately though :(
In the shooting world, we call them "gear queers". :lol:It's my opinion that it's potentially diluted and or contaminated. But you know what they say about opinion's. Lot's of UPR fanboys in these separator threads that I've read.
I know the type...I personally feel that any separator on these cars is far better than none. I remember when simple water separator from a air compressor was what we used on the Gen 2 Lightings and on my old Terminator. Bottom line is anything keeping this junk from coating the back of the throttle blades and manifold is a welcome guest. In the shooting world, we call them "gear queers".
I pour it on my morning cereal. Milk is for pansies. I'm manly like that. ;)Tell me you guys aren't pouring back into motor? Also what up with the jlt can hate? I think its a decent product.
