I would like to install a catch can. Is there a chance this could void my warranty ? I am sure Ford is making tons of money doing the engine flushes so I am thinking adding one may be a problem.
Thanks for any advice you may have.

Absolutely. I have read on here where Ford claims any modification to the car can void the warranty. I already have a cold air intake on the car and just bought it and the last thing I want to do is void my warranty. That's the main reason I bought the car as I have a 100,000 mile power train warranty. I know the direct injection on these newer cars causes carbon build up on top of the valves and would like to help prevent that but I really don't want to take a chance on having warranty issues down the line.

Open that throttle up ..yeah WOT a bit when at all possible .. this will burn that carbon build up .. Put some Redline fuel additive in the gas tank for a few 1.000.00 miles yeah every 3 .000.00 miles .. keeps the top Clean ..Dang Dawg Kiss a frog and cindarella will pop out and take all of your Mod Mony ....:cheers:8

But no fuel reached the top of the valves on these direct injection motors. My previous car was a Cadillac CTS and Cadillac was having the same issues to the point that cars would have a rough idle due to carbon deposits on top of the valves. The catch can is a good idea but like I said I don't want to jeopardize my warranty

Simple solution buy the oil catch can, if you need warranty work...uninstall it, no trace of it whatsoever.

In my eyes, saying a catch can will void your warranty is like saying the custom decal I installed over my push start button will void the warranty lol

UPR does seem like a solid choice, 20% off tomorrow from lethal!

You'll get more flack from the CAI than the catch can.
I know but I can change that out in about 30 minutes. I imagine I could do the same with the catch can.

I'm not sure how the design is on the ecoboost, but I installed my UPR in 2 minutes in the garage at work with no tools. If you already have a CAI a catch can is nothing.

Catch can shouldn't be a problem, unless it's determined to have caused the repair issue, which I confirmed with dealer. Improper installation of some UPR catch cans (ground strap under instead of on top of can) has caused some power steering fails that Ford wouldn't cover. There are a few threads out here on this.

That act is useless and is certainly outdated. A dealer is just going to laugh at you when you try and bring it up.
And crooked dealerships love it when guys like you roll over and take it up the ass. Nothing is outdated and it is still held up by law. Laws passed don't just "expire" unless they have a sunset clause.

For sure the law is there...but only after you pay the lawyers, the 3rd party inspections, and all the 'experts' in the world to try and prove your case. As the car sits for months on end while you're screaming the patriot act.
