Quick question for those that have done the CB005 and diff inserts together...

Are you guys dropping the cradle front then back like the diff inserts instructions or are you doing them side to side like the CB005 instructions?

Curious if one way is easier/less troublesome?

When combining with the CB005, it is easier to loosen all 4 cradle bolts...insert the front sleeves and then install the CB005 arms....and thread the bolts until the fronts are far enough up that the inserts on the CB005 arms are just barely "up inside" the bushing sleeve.

Then go to the rears. Installs the sleeves, then insert the bolts with the CB005 lower formed washers and get the threads started.

There are alignment holes on the IRS subframe and the chassis....to help get everything lined up back there if you run into any issues.

Run them all up and TQ to 129ftlbs. Done

It is pretty easy.

Thanks!

When you say sleeves, your referring to the diff inserts correct? not just the black sleeves of the CB005.

There are no sleeves in the CB005 Kit.

Yes, the "inserts"

BMR Tech - I finally ordered my CB005 from DaSilva Racing up here and just need for it to warm up before installing ... are there any how-to videos around? CJ Pony Parts has awesome videos but none for this.

A forum member from the UK has one on youtube (big500) but its more him describing rather than step by step. He did the one side at a time method for both the CB005 and the diff bushing inserts

I just want to do it the easiest way with putting the least amount of pressure on the loose cradle bolts

I did fronts then back. Dropped the front of the cradle and put in the diff inserts then the CB005, tightened it all up and then did the back the same way. Luckily my cradle was actually centered well from the factory though so I didn't have any issues and didn't need to loosen all 4 points at once to adjust. I am planning a few more mods and then an alignment and intend on loosening up all 4 and giving it a jiggle and retorquing for peace of mind that I don't have any slight bind anywhere though.
