Does a blow off valve on a procharged car effect HP?

I was thinking of upgrading my blow off valve to the big red blow off valve for the sound.

Will this have any effect on horsepower or is it just the sound?

Sound will change (volume) and ability to discharge more unused air mass to prevent compressor surge.

if you are doing it just for sound then it won't effect power. if your blower is to big for your current bov then yes
