Blow Off Valve Help

Hello All,

My Paxton blow off valve is not big enough and I am looking at adding a Tail q50 BOV. My question is do I want a stronger spring 12psi or less spring like 4#s so it blows off under part throttle? Please educate me on blow off valve spring pressures.

Mine came with the 4# spring in it. Too tight of a spring will cause compressor surge.

JPC recommended a -2 psi spring and said it should be good for most anything I through at it

A single Q BOV can support up to 1,800hp
-2psi spring for supercharged applications
