2022 gt, 5 months old around 4700 miles. I noticed this dent or more like, a ding on the top of my trunk.
It just happened recently, we have tall oaks that will sometimes drop acorns - thats the only think im thinking… but i am pretty cautious of staying away from parking under a tall oak. a road rock would more likely be on the side i would think…

i did not really hear any dent or ding sound while driving…

its fairly minor, but i do not know where i could have left it that something could ding it from above with enough force to put in a little dimple.

I live in Virginia. Looks like an acorn to me. I've been lucky with my Mustang, but my other car has several such dings on the roof.

If it falls from high enough it’s very possible. I agree, not likely a rock from the road in that spot unless you were behind a gravel truck or something. I have one small spot right on the passenger rear fender that is from an acorn from the baseball fields this fall (unfortunately I couldn’t avoid it). I’ll probably get it taken care of in the spring when I have PDR done to my wife’s SUV (hail from this summer).

Yeah standard park-under-trees damage.

Walnuts are what we fear in our area, even though acorns are plentiful as well.
Looks to small to be a walnut though.

It would be disappointing regardless. Hopefully the dent repair folks can work it out.

If you're parking under Oaks, def an acorn.

I don't know how many of you have seen acorns - but some are not the typical "dime size"... We have some oaks that drop acorns that are as big as a quarter. Those can definitely dent thin sheet metal body panels... even if it's a drop from like 6ft up... Have one of those suckers drop from 20ft up and it's like getting hit with a golfball sized chunk of hail.
