Last week I bought a 2022 GT Premium 6MT from Ourisman Ford in VA and I am awaiting delivery (via flat bed).

I had a 2018 Audi A4 Quattro with 7 speed DSG that had rev matching and I found that I missed the compression braking I got with my previous 9 manual transmission cars. (VW, 3 Mazdas, 3 BMWs, 2 Porsches). I noticed that the Mustang rev matching can be disabled in the "Track Apps" menu and I was wondering if anyone ever disables rev matching in their 6MT Mustang?

I never disable mine because I forget to. I will do it tomorrow. When I picked up the car it was disabled though. I will report back.

Like consistency, am capable of manual rev-matching. What I did disable was the throttle increase as the clutch comes up from stopped. The hill assists deal IMHO introduces unnecessary clutch wear to the mix.

Auto rev match is preferred, with consistency as the reason.

I did the same the with hill assist. That tech is borderline dangerous to become dependent on.

Rev match is a good feature though. I'd 100% enable it while learning how to autoX the car.

Disabled for 4 years after the first hour or so. Likewise the hill start assist.

Disabled it after I got it home from the dealer. Ditto for hill hold. I'll admit, the rev matching works very well, but it takes some of the fun out of driving a manual.

The second I drove it off the lot. The whole reason I bought a Mach instead of a GT 500 is so I can row the gears. I want the experience of my 97 Cobra, not a roller coaster with zero operator input.

Until we go to the track…. You might as well sit in the spectator section.

Did not walk away from the car on the MT run. Until the cop showed up and then crickets.
