Does your credit card extend the warranty on purchases?
From memory I did this via interest free through the companies eBay site……and yes I’ve tried eBay but they say they can’t help either…..so I don’t think so to answer your question

I admit to being intrigued by this.
So this ACCC has the power to force a company to make repairs after the warranty by just saying x product should last y amount of time? How do they determine that?
The conundrum that comes to mind is car warranties. Example, Ford warranties their engines for 3 years/ 36k miles but Kia warranties their engines for 10 years/ 100k miles. Does that mean that Ford (and any other brand) should be covered for 10 years? And since Kia's is 10 years is it reasonable to think they should last longer?

Op, sorry to go off topic but this is a really strange concept for me...
Your example of Ford 3 year engine warranty is a good one. No one would consider 3 years for an engine is long enough. But to me at least 250000klms seems fair. Anyhow I am in no way an expert in this and googling Australian consumer law provides ACCC website with clear information. Sorry I can't provide more.

I must’ve got lucky. Have my clear VLands for 3 years now. Still perfect.

Same here. Bought red VLAND tail lights in 2020 and they're still functioning just fine - I still have the white tail lights which I swap out for the national car (road-worthy) test (NCT) evry two years.

Hey people’s,

This is a post to try to help others avoid the issues I have recently had to deal with.

About a year ago I bought red tail lights for my 2020 mustang gt from VLAND on eBay.
Initial contact with them was positive and they were happy to negotiate a good price so I ended up buying a set with a 12 month warranty.

Fast forward a year later the left tail light now will not indicate. The back lights still work but it just won’t indicate (the right one still works fine).
I contacted the company but was ignored for quite a while before I had to contact eBay to have the company followed up.
Eventually the company replied and sent me a email with a video that wasn’t in English that showed someone flicking the light switch on the dash and then turning on the hazard lights.
I tried this but if course nothing happened.
I tried to explain to the company that an auto electrician had told me my wiring was fine but that the problem was with the light itself.

The response was then again asking me to try switching the lights in a different fashion again.
I again tried this but of course this didn’t fix the issue.
In total I tried their way 3 times and each time the light still didn’t work.

They are now stating they can’t help me and are refusing to send me a new replacement set of tail lights….and are now ignoring my emails to them.

DO NOT BUY ANY VLAND LIGHTS AS THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT OR THEIR WARRANTY!!!
Pardon my ignorance, but what does won’t indicate mean? Also, you said you had a 12 month warranty and fast forward a year so wouldn’t the warranty be expired?

Indicate = signal. EU/UK/Aussie call it indicating and Americans call it signalling when you turn on your signal light (or indicators 😄).
