Was reading something about needing a anti theft code after disconnecting..is that true. 2019 mustang gt. I'm new to the world of technology. I have been driving a 92 gt for the past 8 years.
Well, some cars do require a code after a battery disconnect. My old Honda Ridgeline did.
But my '12 Edge and '14 Fusion, both with Sync 2, do not. If I recall right, they don't even lose their settings. I haven't had to disco the battery in my '18 with Sync 3 yet but I don't expect that I'll need a code.
I do believe that the APIM, basically the Sync 3 computer, is tied to the cars VIN though. But that should not make a difference unless you try to change it out for some reason.

Not needed on your 19....just did an exhaust swap and disc the negative batter ..you need a 10mm for the nut.. left off for a few hours..reconnected and we are good..
I just ordered an Air raid CAI ..which one did you get?

After Googleing I realized you were probably not asking about the Sync. Only stuff I saw for an anti theft reset was on older models, as in the early 2000 models.
In this forum, in the DIY section, there's a "FYI battery replacement" thread. Go to post #94 and I think you'll have your answer.
My car has been in hibrenation since mid Oct. The battery has been in the basement since I don't have power in the garage. I stated the car up last weekend without any issues. You've got nothing to worry about.
