My 21 gt has active exhaust and originally had an analog dash. I use to be be able to switch my exhaust mode to quite before start up even if it was outside of my 9p to 8am quiet start schedule. Recently switched to digital dash same quit start schedule but I have tried now two times around 10am to start the car in quite. As soon as the car starts it goes back to normal. I use to be able to do quite starts whenever I wanted with the old dash. Is this normal

It's starting in normal exhaust mode after you've created the quiet start schedule again?

No it will start in quiet mode within the hours I have set. If it outside the hours say 12pm I get in the car put it in accessory mode switch to quiet mode when I press the start button it immediately goes to normal mode.

The car will not start in any other exhaust mode other than normal outside of the scheduled hours.

Weird that it did it with the analog dash.

Maybe for some reason it's backwards. Try to put it in normal mode and see what happens

IIRC, the car will always start in normal mode. Setting exhaust mode with the ignition in Acc will have no effect, but if "quiet start" is enabled it will switch from normal to quiet shortly after engine start. This is normal behavior. I can't explain why it was actually starting in quiet mode with the analog dash.

The car will start in whatever exhaust setting you select while in accessory mode so long as you don’t turn accessory mode off (power down the car) before starting the car. I don’t have the digital dash but that shouldn’t affect that feature at all.

I’ve done starts in Track and Quiet (outside of my Quiet Start timeframe) numerous times by turning accessory mode on, selecting exhaust mode then turning the car on.

OP, I assume you’re leaving the car on in Accessory Mode when starting the car after selecting the Exhaust Mode you want? Only thing I can think of is something was changed in Forscan when the digital dash was installed but if the Quiet Start still works in the timeframe you selected, something is amiss.

When I installed my digital dash, drive modes were disabled. I had to use Forscan to re-enable them. Maybe this is a similar issue with active exhaust?
