Since they started building GT350's (build quality) and loading them the wrong way, do you think any of our words has reached people who can really do something about this? Are they building them better now? Are our complaints reaching anyone? or are we pissing in the wind?

I'll take pissing in the wind for $400.

You are going to experience variants in any production situation. If you took a poll for how many people here have taken delivery of their GT350's, and how they would rate their car highly for quality overall, you will find a small percentage have complaints. Some of that has to do with the vehicles, some of that has to do with the expectations of the individuals.
I would rate my GT350 as close to perfect for what I ordered and expected. I also planned to make a few minor adjustments to it when I ordered it the way I did, that has an imact on my expectations.
I know Ford does monitor these sites, but there is little they can change from the current situation, or do they even need to??

Your right. I would think the transporting of the car should be taken more seriously. It makes Ford look bad. I have a small business and if my product was being delivered damaged because directions weren't being adhered to, I would be out of business. But being so big ford will never have that problem.

After you bang the front splitter a few times on your own you won't care how it was loaded on the trailer. Not that ford can do anything but provide instructions.

Quality on mine was good, early car, no issues (I'm betting that's the majority). Ok, if you took a micrometer to the panel alignment it's not perfect, but then I don't want to pay $200k for hand assembled everything either (just the important bits). If something wasn't quite right I would have it fixed under warranty and not worry about it.

I doubt I will bang the splitter. If I could put the car in my living room I would. That's just me. I realize it's a 50k car like people say but to me $50k might as well be $1,000,000.

Good post.

Regarding the splitter; I've hit mine a few times already and it sucks, but it's part of using the car. I'm not going to buy a car and then not drive it. I try to take as much care as I can but I know the car's going to get little nicks and gouges over time.

I think the main concern is damaging the mounting tabs for the splitter.
