still shows for me as no fix yet...coming up on a year this summer now. Took a summer roadtrip last year and was ok, and was planning to do it again this year, but who knows if my pump is one of the bad ones or not. Anyone get it replaced yet?

From reading the TSB it sounds like it’s not the pump itself, but the bucket replenishment system venturi. If you have the problem, filling the tank all the way up should get you going enough to limp home because it will overflow into the bucket from the top.

The TSB doesn’t affect my Mustang but does on my Bronco. Interestingly it no longer appears in the APP. Just disappeared.

Interestingly enough, my recall has disappeared from my app as well. I called the dealer approximately six weeks ago, and they said that the parts were not available as of yet, but they would start calling customers when they were. Time for another call to the dealer I guess.

I've had fuel cut on multiple occasions while on track, mainly tracking out of a long left turn. I ordered this, just haven't installed it yet because I won't be able to track my M1 until May.

I always keep a full tank , when ever the gauge comes off full ,and I pass a Chevron ,I top off. No issues , as of this post ...

Eh, there's a good chance that won't fix your problem. I think many companies overlook the importance and design of the venturi system, which is what's causing your problem.

The OEM gen3 design fills the bucket faster than the pump can pump out of it. When you switched to E85, this upset that balance and it could no longer fill the bucket fast enough to replenish what is removed. Unless that DW bucket includes a 40% increase in bucket-filling rate, it's not going to help your situation.

Dude....you were not supposed to tell me this. Suggestions for a fix, other than making sure I am at a full tank before each session? E85 is heavy.

As far as I can tell, there are only 2 “elegant” options as of now. 1: Enlarge the venturi orifice yourself. I can guide you some on this. Or 2: consider an option from kpm, who have focused on bucket filling rate as a priority in their design.

Not having a stated solution and timing plan to address the thousands of affected vehicles in limbo for so many months is typical Ford (how can John Haliburton still have a job?) and inexcusable.

Can I/we sue for Ford for the cost of towing, lost wages, trips interrupted ect if pump goes out since it been over a year waiting for a fix. What the people who have a mustang being their only vehicle.

Went to the track this weekend. Plan was to take my GTI for both days, but the car tried to kill me in session 1, so I went home, prepped my M1 and took it Sunday. Had fuel cut tracking out of left turns with anything less than 1/2 tank of gas. I'd start the session with slightly more than 3/4 tank and I was good for the first 4 sessions. But temps rose to about 85F and the issue popped up.

Next track day (unfortunately) is not until the end of May, so I have no excuse to install and try out the DW400 pump. I'll do some spirited driving in town to test.

@SBR70.3 one potential solution is to increase commanded fuel pressure. That will cause the venturi to flow more and potentially keep the bucket fuller.

Hey all, I was at the dealer the other day to pick up a part and asked for an update on this recall. The service rep said there is a system update coming out mid June. I didn’t get any specifics, just that some kind of software update is coming. Figured I’d share with the group for those wondering what’s going on.
