I purchased a set of Stainless Works headers with the Performance connect option along with cats.
I wanted a full three inch exhaust but didn't want to use the Stainless Works exhaust system. I am using the Magnaflow Competition system.
SW bolts are also a funny bolt. The edges of the bolts are beveled so wrenches and sockets never sit quite right. I removed all the studs and went with an ARP 12 point Stainless Steel fastener.

I welded V-bands to the headers and the cats, then welded the cats to the mid pipes all the way back to the X-pipe.

Removed the passenger side exhaust.

passenger side header installed.

Driver side installed.

Cut the factory connect off of the X-pipe to see how close the X-pipe is to the SW pipes. I didn't want to weld in a 3 inch section so I cut and installed a piece of Stainless Steel pipe to go from the SW section all the way to the X-pipe.

close up of the tig welds for the cats.

Completion!

Good work. Having access to a lift makes life so much easier doing many of these mods.

I'm trying to decide between eibach pro kit or the steeda springs. I have a PP model too and it's already pretty stiff. Compared to how it originally was, how much stiffer are the steeda springs? Thanks.

It is very hard to judge the difference. I put the springs on with only about 100 miles on the car.

Ok. Ya with the pp it's defiantly the stiffest ride I've ever owend. I really want to lower it but I'm not sure how much stiffer I want it to be. I use it as a daily driver but also on track days and mountain runs here and there.

Do you have a part number to those ARP bolts you used for your headers? I'm about to buy a set of SW LT's as well and don't want to use the supplied hardware if it sucks..and hey that DIBlue is a GREAT color! lol

The part number is 773-1002. They come in a pack of 5 so you will need 4.

Nice build Toowired, should have my DIB GTPP in about two weeks. I like the custom work that's been done under the hood, keep the pics/updates coming!

Hey did you reuse the gaskets or the sealant that came with the headers?
I don't like that sealant. Just reuse the gaskets.
