I hate to create a new thread for this, because I know there are posts all over the place. However, I'm a little desperate for an answer. I suffer from motion sickness. It's actually gotten worse now that I am older. The bounce in my Ecoboost w/PP is pretty much unbearable on portions of the highway near my house. So much so that, I will take a local road for 10 miles just to get around it. What magical combination of springs, shocks, or other parts will eliminate the bounce on this car? I really appreciate your input.

Have you driven a non-PP? If that was okay, you could swap springs/shocks with someone and maybe pocket a few bucks.

Do you need a stereotypical Cadillac-type ride quality (body doesn't move at all, or really slowly) or can you manage with a BMW-like ride quality (body may move but moves quickly and controlled without any real "yanky" up and down motions, just snaps back). If the first, you're screwed. If the latter, then I'd get Ford Performance or Koni Yellow dampers (shocks/struts) and really any reputable lowering springs of your choice. This will tighten it up a lot - it should be less bouncy but will be stiffer, shouldn't be harsh.

Shocks will probably be your answer.

(I'm waiting for the adjustable Konis, as opposed to jumping on Vikings which reportedly are lower quality)

Definite BMW-like ride quality wildcatgoal. Thanks.

No I haven't HoosierDaddy. I ordered my car because I was impatient. I never went on a test drive.:)

I don't think either of these are what you're looking for. Every time someone buys a part, they want to feel good about their purchase so they say great things and life is wonderful, until you buy the part and spend the money to have it installed and find it didn't accomplish what you were after.

I have the exact same problem with my EB PP. It isn't that it is an uncomfortable bump, it is annoying bounce, this up and down soft movement. There are sections of the interstate highway that have what I'd describe as rolling humps in the road. When I go through there, I feel like I'm on a carnival ride. I watch other cars and they aren't bouncing around. I certainly didn't bounce around in my 2010 Mustang like that in the same spot and it was lowered. This is a problem my EB PP had new.

I heard that the Steeda Progressive lowering springs took care of all the bounce. They are a DEFINITE improvement over stock, MUCH better but there is still bounce. My wife HATES when I lower cars, this time she even said the ride was better with the Steeda Progressive springs. I've heard others that have gone the FRPP will be taking theirs off and selling them to get the Konis. I'm not even going to comment on the Vikings, I'd just recommend you read the threads and other's experience with those. Be careful also to compare apples to apples. Some giving their opinions have GTs, other than engine weight, I'm not sure why they would be different but some with GTs claim no bounce. I've ordered the Konis from Steeda and will post my honest opinion when I get them installed. My preference would have been Bilstein which would no doubt be a bit more expensive but I have a lot of confidence in those, they just don't have a consistent release date and I want to fix this problem now (meaning a year ago).

I couldn't agree more about doing a lot of research as you frequently find threads with opposing views. I am looking to make suspension changes and just remembered these threads from my research that discussed the bounce. It was by no means and end all to the original posters question.

I've done the Cradle Lockout from BMR and it removed 90% of the Bounce. I was TRYING and still am trying to avoid Spring and strut change. So my next mod will be Lower Control arm bushing, Vertical Link, and Diff Lockout Bushings from BMR...

I used the Steeda goodies...IRS supports, braces, and diff bushings. I think I got rid of 90% of it, reduced it remarkably, anyway. I have one stretch of road in my area that accentuates the bouncy feeling. I wanted to avoid springs/shocks...little too invasive a cure for my tastes. GT/PP.

I have the cradle lock out also, i still think it is pretty bouncy on the highway I didnt even think that part was to remove the bounce.
