'16 Ecoboost Premium with PP. Every time the vehicle starts up it's in the normal drive mode. Is there a way to make it default to sport+?

Not yet unfortunately. I'm not sure if a tuner can do that or not, someone can chime in.

I'll make it short and simple...

No

No way around it. Something to do with the law

Yes, there is. Just put the shifter in S instead of D. It is exactly the same as Sport+, except the paddle shifters are enabled.

Sorry, I assumed you had an automatic transmission. I guess there's no way to do this on a manual.

I've also read that the "Sport" mode on an auto isn't the same as Sport+ in the mode select, thus the different designations.

Interesting... Where did you read that? Everything I've read suggests they're the same, and real world testing would seem to confirm it.

There's no way to default it to Sport upon start. It was been discussed many times on this forum. just do a search.

Sport – Engages when you shift your
automatic transmission into sport (S).
Sport mode increases throttle
response and helps your vehicle
accelerate faster, but does not change
the feel of the steering or stability
system.

Sport+ – Provides a sportier steering
feel and throttle response. Sport+
mode is ideal for use during more
spirited driving.

I don't think they are exactly the same. I have Normal, Sport+, Track, and Snow/Wet in D. I have Normal, Sport+, and Track when in S. Also, Normal doesn't feel as sporty as Sport+ even when the transmission is in S.
