Although I might not want it myself. I agree. Maybe something like the black spoilers on the 70's Mach 1's. I'm sure the aftermarket is already planning them. :)

Damn that aggressive front splitter is sexy!!
I agree. I could also use it to plow the foot of snow in my driveway courtesy of Cleon.

Just kidding. :)

Fully painted rear end...

I haven't seen this come up anywhere else, but has anyone noticed the Mustang at the reveal in LA has a fully painted rear end?

However, the front and side splitters are unpainted like the rest of the cars we've seen:

Also, this seems to be the only car we've seen with Recaros, and I have found no other info on the Recaros..

Thoughts?

Not a fan of the fully or partially painted rear end. I think I'd prefer it all in black, especially considering how much road grime it will be picking up down there. Maybe in a darker color it wouldn't be so bad if it was partially painted.

Forgot to mention the functional air vents next to the fog lights that feed cool air to the tires/brakes.

Also noticed this one has different headlights than all the other ones. It looks a lot like mine, minus the arch around the headlight cowl and the black finish.

I'm guessing that those are the base headlights and that the fish gills don't light up, thus they have standard halogen daytime running lamps instead.

Also notice that the rear is missing the lower most aero diffuser insert that we've seen body colored in other pictures and alternatively the main lower valence that is normally black is body color in LA. We could possibly be looking at different options/packages/region specific parts or just a odd shortage/assortment of pre-production parts.

Finally, I was at the reveal in dearborn and the lower plastic trim looked much better and darker than the gray trim on my 2012.

Good eye. That does not look like it is going to direct cold air to the inboard side of the rotor.

It's begging to be left alone. The car looks killer as-is.
Looking at the S550 pics with and without the factory spoiler, it's pretty clear the spoiler delete is a more streamlined look.
I always liked the Saleen kit for the 2011 but hated the lower valance. The S550 kinda reminds me of the Saleen design. Really fixes an awkward angle of the taillights and makes them seem more tucked in. Love it!

And that is the beauty of cars, you can customize them as you see fit. I personally love the pedestal mount spoilers on the 69/70 and 2010+ cars.

Yep and I think that's why I've always loved the Mustang platform. So many aftermarket choices , almost infinite possibilities.
