Well, I got the green light from my wife the other day to pull the trigger on a 2015 Mustang GT.

As I have a very tight budget I can only afford the Base GT with no frills. I would be ordering a DIB.

Well while at the dealership today, I noticed they had a new 14 Premium GT in DIB with Recaros and Track Pack for 37,000. As I was looking the car over a sales rep approached me to talk about the car. He offered me a test drive and of course I jumped at the opportunity. Well we get back and start to talk some numbers over, and they are currently offering up to 6500 in rebates / incentives. This brings the price down to 30,500 which of course is cheaper then the 15, and I could be driving it home tomorrow.

I'm so perplexed right now... I ohh so want a 15, but at the same time I ohh so want a 14...

I want to make the right decision, but I just don't know what I should do... any opinions?

I think the '15 is a vastly improved car, up and down the board. Styling, interior, electronics, suspension, etc etc.

Any way that you can look at a '15 in person before you make a decision?

Definitely look at a 15 first. I have a 14 and I am trading it in on a 15

That was half the reason I was at the dealership... but they didn't have one. Said they would not have on in till November.

That 14 was very tempting.... I didn't buy the car and found myself almost turning around on the way home to go back and cut a deal... told myself to sleep on it over the weekend. And thus Here I am

You should be able to get it at around invoice price minus incentives, I'm assuming the 37000 is msrp & not a negotiated reduced price.

Else, good luck . Personally I figure the frills is just more stuff to go wrong, so going with a base 2015 for me would be a no brainer, even assuming you can get the 14 at about 28,500. Most folks like the frills though.

get the 15 base GT. you can not go wrong for 32K MSRP and all of the updates and overall body improvements. That is my opinion, as i am in the same boat. my wife gave me the green light and i could have been driving a 14, but opted for the 15 after looking at all of the improvements.

patience, you don't want to see a 15 on the road and have to think to yourself "I shoulda waited the extra month" you would much rather pass the 14 on the road and think to yourself "so glad i waited the extra month!!"

If you get no frills at all you can get a brand new 2015 GT for low 30s MSRP I think. Could maybe trim some off that if you deal. Personally I'd be considering a 2015 only. Either load up a ecoboost or get a GT with whatever options you could afford. I'd get whatever package it took to get the two tone rear diffuser and I'd get the 18" machine foundry wheels but that would put you at mid 30s I think before dealing.

My advice is go to the ford build and price and make something you will be happy with then go deal:

My Wife told me the same thing about 30 minutes ago. Would also give me a little extra time to get a bigger down payment together, on top of my trade in.

We have the down payment saved and so far, 5 months of payments. I got the OK and placed my order on August 5th. seeing the account i set up for the payments ballooning is making the wait much more emotionally manageable.

I can't do a black car again... impossible to keep clean. Besides that DIB is beautiful. Only other color I would concider is Guard. Been going back and fourth on that one for a while.

I do love the Guard - Zombies car looks amazing, you would not be sad in that color.

haha, I just moved here too. Been here about 6 months, lots of good jobs to be had out here...

You should be able to get a base GT, no options in the low 30s with or without x-plan. Also, the base model has been upgraded big time when compared to previous years.
