Dealer Recommended Services?

Hey y'all. Its time for the next oil change, so I went to my dealer's site to schedule an appt. They're recommending a "premium" service that includes oil and filter change, tire rotation, "multi-point inspection," AND Wynn's Puroil Ethanol Treatment and Wynn's Supreme Plus Engine Oil Treatment. All for about $170. Does this sound like a worthwhile deal or some snake oil treatments to eek more money out of me (specifically the Wynn's stuff)? I'm leery of it because I know dealers try to upsell on services you don't need. Also, I have the BBQ tick after a fresh oil change that I treat with a bottle of Ceratec, so I'm thinking it may not be a good idea to mix the Wynn's and Ceratec. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

170 is a lot for an oil change, you already know what the snake oil additives are worth. That would piss me off. If they tried to sell me that stuff they’d get an earful.

The only premium service going on here is the draining of your wallet.

Skip all that BS and stick with what the manual actually calls for at this mileage (if anything) besides the oil and filter change.

If you have the PP1 or any staggered wheel set up a tire rotation is pointless and highway robbery.

Not true if you put the wider tires on the front it will turn better.

Nah I've got a square set up. 255s all around.

Not true if you put the wider tires on the front it will turn better.

Hence why I said staggered set up I don't know about you but I wouldn't want anything less than a 275 tire on the back lol!

Yep I do a tire rotation with every oil change on my vehicles! Lord knows I don't want to buy tires more often than necessary!

This dealer offers the Works package too, and that's what I usually do. I'll stick with it. By chance, have you opted to use the full-synthetic Motorcraft oil when you take yours in?

I would also not put the Ceratec in next time. It's snake oil as much as the other things they proposed you. The tick is a myth and you are doing more harm than good in adulterating your oil.

No I haven't my car has been on the Semi-Syn since day one but with the little I drive it the mileage is never very high between oil changes either. Maybe 4000 miles if that.
