Let me forewarn you about the release form:

Do NOT under any circumstance sign any Release Form until AFTER you are made whole.

Any member on this site who is an Attorney or Associate of an Attorney’s Office, please feel free to chime in with advice.

If you sign any Release when in ANY situation as such, once you have signed that document if there is ANY future findings of damages or cost to repair - you are totally and 100% SOL, period.

Once a Release of Claims is signed, you are agreeing that the terms and conditions within the Release have been met to BOTH parties satisfaction and understanding. There is no legal recourse at all once that Release is signed by you and by them.

So please be 100% cautious and very, very mindful as to exactly what you are or will be agreeing to, not only from the aspect of being made whole but for any potential issues or findings that could have resulted from that Dealership essentially abusing your vehicle.

I’m not saying you would need an Attorney, I am saying that for those not familiar with a Release of Claims and the way it can be worded within, once it is signed, it releases BOTH parties form any further claims, whether fair or unfair, period.

I personally would state you want restitution and will only be willing to sign the Release AFTER all repairs and costs for repairs (which includes all parts, labor and diagnosis costs) have been settled AND you are 100% satisfied with the repairs.

Any hints on where that part is hidden in the 164 minute haystack?
Not a freaking clue. Never heard of the show before today.

I am sure many of you saw the thread about the ford tech who took on of the mustangs here on a joy ride while getting work done. I listen to a nationally syndicated country radio show, The Bobby Bones Show. A co-host has a segment called bonehead story of the day. Well yesterday (feb 7), this story was the boneheaded story. I just wanted to share since this story is getting out there. This radio show is a very big show. The host just won’t dancing with the stars, is a mentor for American Idol and mich more. Just thought it was cool it’s going beyond the forum.

I just want to say, as I know others have throughout this thread, that it's absolutely despicable what these people do - nobody respects anyone's hard earned money and prized possessions when it's not their own. It's absolutely angering, maddening. Thank goodness you had a dashcam that recorded it.
I'm around dealers a lot, I know people in dealers, both sales and service, and it's too bad that there are folks like this. A large chunk are not. However, there are so many bad apples out there that just continue to ruin it for everyone. There are so many bad actors. What makes things worse, in general, is that when you buy your car from a car dealer, and get it serviced there, etc., you aren't ever really dealing with Ford Motor Co. - you're dealing with Bob's Ford and that independent franchise. If you think about it, the OEs are smart, they just build the car, and when it comes to sales and service, they let all the dealers who are franchises, worry about all that (exceptions being big ticket items like recalls, warranty, etc.) Otherwise, a lot of logistical and front/consumer-facing business and interaction is all the dealer - Ford sort of hides behind them, until called-upon, and doesn't need to worry about anything there.
You go to a dealer and you're paying for "Factory-trained technicians" and the so-called level of expertise they have in repairing your vehicle... right.
As someone who's worked on their own cars for a long time, but being limited by skill, tools and access like a 2 post lift in the house for major repairs, it's always this unsettling feeling bringing in your car for things you cannot do (dealer or otherwise). And when shit like this happens, it just confirms everything. There have been countless stories of these like the OP, and I feel for you. I hope you get something out of this.

^^^ This right here.. I mentioned this to the OP in a earlier post. I also suggested that whatever he/she does, do not get into a pissing contest with them or nothing will get resolved. Be professional but state that you expect some sort of resolution on the matter, whether it be compensation or reimbursement on the inspection.
Im sorry you got jerked around, and that dealership is a bunch of D-bags. Is there another Ford store close to you that not owned by the same folks, maybe it will be best to collect your funds and frustrations and find a new ford stor to call home. I experenced a simular issue here in Dallas and have to travel a little further out of my way to have warranty items addressed but in the end have a much better relationship with this ford shop.

I also noticed you pulled your videos, if I were you I would "accidentally" post them to youtube after your refund shows up. And if asked why they were posted again by the dealer defer to not begin very tech savvy.

- Best of luck with getting this mess sorted out.

The key difference there is Euro Tire have dialled in more castor. That settles the car down and helps it track straight.

I’m so sorry you got jerked around too. I completely share your sentiment towards csr dealers. I once had a car dealership call me and tell me that my car was backed into by a porter. Never the less they did fix it but what an ordeal. Thank god for dash cams.

On a lighter note, your car sounds AWESOME! Can I ask you what exhaust you have installed? Is it stock?

Thanks
Rich

you might also be able to take the dealer to small claims court to recover any legal fees you incurred from their boneheaded move. In Texas it costs $75 in filing fees for the small claims court but if you win the judge will award you court costs ($75) and damages (dealer fees, legal fees). Its a extra step but might be worth your time if you have to come out of pocket for legal guidance.

It’s never truly gone - the way back machine may snag it...

Besides, there’s no way to delete the content from ALL the news coverage, jalopnik, and any other forum medium that captured the news... good luck with that. Funny how the Dealership didn’t want to help out UNTIL they got into the public and nationwide spotlight.
