Yeh I don't get the why buy a Mustang if you're not going to drive fast argument. Same with Camaro, Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren, etc etc. You would have hundreds of idiots going 90-100+ in fatal crashed. But you dont- because people don't want to mess up their nice cars or get $200-300 speeding tickets and pints that raise your insurance rates, that's why.
There is a time and a place for speed. And if you're that worried about DRLs getting you caught, then its not the right time or place to use that speed. Where are you all in such rushes to go? I enjoy my time in the new car, not speeding to my destination as fast as possible.
The "because everyone else is going that fast" argument does NOT work well; believe that much. The speed limits exist for a reason, not because the person or car can/cannot handle it, but because the stopping distances needed based on traffic patterns. You hit bumper to bumper suddenly going 100 its a LOT harder to stop than at 65-70; stopping distances vs speed are proven fact. Dont pretend you know (or "such a good driver") better than science/forces do. You will just be the next wrecked S550 on the main forum section waiting months to be repaired and dealing with insurance and police. Is that all worth going those extra 10-20mph to feel that you are "now using your sports car?"
