My neighbors are just happy I sold my '94 GT fun car, Procharged 408cid stroker with headers and 3" Mac turndowns. That used to set off alarms on the next block, heh.

So the S550 is a welcome change for them.

The last thing to do in an apartment parking lot is piss off your neighbors.

That's why I'm careful 99.9% of the time but last night I couldn't help it. Didn't even get over 3k on the tach. Can't complain. Guy across the lot has a crappy loud slowmaro and doesn't care about being loud.

Pissing people off is a quick way to get your car messed with.

Yikes, was about to see about having the dealer install the FRPP Sport catback on delivery. Didn't think it was supposed to be THAT loud. Definitely don't want to be upsetting the neighbors in my complex.

It's very loud. I got busted taking my brother on a spirited run over a mile from my parents house. They heard every shift. (We didn't speed much just got to speed fast). If you keep it under 1/4 throttle and about 2500 rpm it sounds just a little over stock. After that though all hell breaks loose. I keep it low and extremely quiet between 9p-9a and keep it acceptably quiet other than that.

The maintenance guys in my complex drive an old mid 80s f-150 they have to almost redline to get into gear and it's exhaust is more rust holes than metal. Not worried about my single moment of "I gotta hear my own exhaust again" lol

aren't you the dude who was blasting around the complex making noise when you first got the exhaust?

Damn, and I thought I had finally made a decision. Maybe time to consider the touring again.

LOL that is a big no. My wife would have killed me. Since day one I have been respectful of my neighbors who most likely do not appreciate my loud exhaust as much as I do.

It really is easy to keep it quiet. I leave everyday before 630 and I quick shift at 1500 to keep quiet. Now start up especially when it's below about 60 and the engine idles high that is unavoidable but I don't let it sit for 20 minutes like some do. You will not regret the sport if you get it. The new car smell will be gone quick though as driving windows up is no fun!

Not entirely certain what your point here is but if it's another eco>GT attempt please go elsewhere.
A little hyper sensitive maybe...it was clearly a joke since the EB is so quiet.

My neighbor across the street has one of those "New York" type alarms that buzzes and beeps at everything. The mail/UPS truck goes by and beep beep beep. It's annoying as hell. Sometimes I set it off purposely backing out when it starts beeping. I hate people who have those types of car alarms as if their car is some exotic; it's a freaking Honda/Toyota/some beater 99% of the time.

The sadder part is as in typical fashion it's protecting some ricer older completely beat up IS250 lowered as far as it can go on some crappy no name white wheels. The car isn't even worth what my wheels/tires are probably, but needs some super sensitive alarm. And this is a VERY safe neighborhood. I've been here 2 years now and never heard a peep of any even minor crime in the neighborhood or even seen the police here ever.
