ok so i set up the mobius last night and left it in the car. unfortunately the temps this morning was 17F, and i guess the mobius was frozen and wouldnt power on. FYI i have the capacitor instead of the battery because i bought their dash cam pack which replaces the batt w/ a capacitor. https://www.mobius-actioncam.com/store/products/mobius-dashcam-package/

it didnt power on until after it warmed up. i wonder what the operating/storage temperature is for these things.

Interesting! I'm in Florida and know heat will affect the battery but didn't think the cold would. If it continues to freeze up I'd give the Mini 0806 a try and see if theirs is any better.

i found this comparison very interesting - mini 0806 vs mobius

The Mobius is definitely a good option and in some ways more versatile. For me I'm going with the mini 0806 mainly because of capacity and mounting takes less space. The Mobius is smaller but the windshield mount is bigger.

Mine is 3 years old so far and the battery is fine...and that's with 110 degrees in the summer when my car is in my work parking lot. Eventually I'll put the capacitor in it.

Couple questions and I'll order the mini 0806.
What is the ETA?
Does the hardwire kit have battery drain protection or any other features?

It's my understanding that the BlackVue kits will work with any dash cam.

Highly recommend 2 channel dash cam with the Mustang. Blackvue dr530w is what I have and works great.
