And I'm only 6 miles from the beach. Inland is even worse. Just ridiculous.

It’s hot here too. In our low deserts it’s hitting 115°. Here in Anaheim we’re hitting 91° – 94°. I am fine with it. I wait all year for this weather to get out there put the top down whatever I wanna do.

Yesterday I went to Best Buy to pick up my grandson's computer from repair. When I was driving there it was 95 degrees and we were under a thunderstorm warning. Picked up the computer and the sky was dark, still 95 and humid.

Made it 2 blocks and the wind started - 70 mph winds will shake the Mustang. Then the rain started.

The temperature went from 95 to 70 like it saw a state trooper! When the wind started I was at a stoplight and looked at the readout - still showing 95, but within minutes it dropped to 70.

Today started at 73 degrees at 7a.m. and when I went for a walk at noon it was 81 degrees.

I remember being a kid growing up, playing outside around 10am in the morning. It was so hot out. The sun felt like it was searing my skin. I remember the temperature being in the low 90's most mornings and only getting hotter from there.

Then something changed. It got cooler for a few years. And now, for the past 15 years people complain about how hot it is.

Its not much different than it ever was - we are all just weaker now, less tolerant to not being comfortable. But that's just what I think.

Any day that the world makes me feel something - that is a good day. I take solace in experiencing different types of weather.

Hello; A local news station out of Knoxville TN. about 60 miles away, gives historical record temperatures. Earlier this summer we had a run of 90+ degree days. The record run of 90+ degree days in my area happened in the 1930's. Forget the exact number but think it was over 100 such days back then. A few days ago they showed two +100 degree days. One back in 1948. The other in the 1980's.

Part of the something which changed has to be in part the ongoing variability of the climate in general. Back in the 1960-70's the news was loaded with dire threats of a new ICE AGE. Actually, felt that way as the winters were indeed brutal.

As for us being less able to tolerate the heat as a mindset, I do agree. I rarely run the central air of my home. Friends and family think i am odd because of this. I was well into my 30's before I had a window AC in one bedroom.

We've had a really cool and rainy summer. Very few days over 90. A lot fewer than the typical summer. It's been wonderful. One of the best summers I can remember. I usually only like spring and fall, but this year I don't want summer to end.

I suppose when the cool air is pushing down over the northern part of the country, the south gets more heat?

Hello; your cool weather has been my hot summer.
We actually had a really mild winter last year as well. Not that much snow and not a ton of cold weather compared to a typical year. This has been a great year, weather wise as far as I'm concerned.

I think I got rewarded for selling the Toyota and buying a Chevy. It was definitely the right move.

You are completely mistaken. That is not the weather you’ve been experiencing. Gotta love the gaslighting on every level. Complete bs. It was warm here in Aug. but nothing out of the usual. We were high 90’s low 100’s which is the norm. Few years back we were 110-112. All the while where they take the official readings by the airport(30’ off the ground mind you) is always 5-8 degrees cooler then reality. I hear from those that aren’t local that will say you don’t have the humidity it’s a dry heat. My response is always come work with me at 6000ft of elevation and see what the uv is like from the sun with temps. It’s all relative in my opinion.

I've noticed that some years the news is constantly shouting about heat, but this year it's cool and I haven't heard a peep.

Hello; Been a bit unusual around east TN this spring and summer. Some stretches of excess rain. Then some stretches of hot day days in the 90's F. Then a stretch of unusually cool days. In fact broke a record for a cool temperature in mid summer. Then back to a week of hot days just finished today. Broke a record of 96 F by one degree.
But other than the series of 90+ days the temps are withing usual ranges. Not sure how many 90 degree days we will have all told yet as summer is not over, but the record for 90+ degree days was set back in the 1930's.

pfffft, don’t blame the great white north for your anomalies you hoser 😂

…shamless plug for Bob and Doug Mackenzie 😬

I grew up in MN and spent almost 7 years in TN with the US Army…Tennessee ain’t got nothin on minnesota. MN can go from -60F (with windchill) to +99F with 90% humidity in a 4 month time frame, give me TN weather anyday…and the blondes with southern accents 🫠
