A few weeks ago I posted that I had went outside and found my trunk popped open 3 times in about 3 months. Well, today I found both windows rolled down and the car soaked from yesterdays storms. Here's the catch: the Mustang is not my daily, and the fob has been on my dresser for the last 3 days, as I work 12 hour shifts and drive another car to work. I'm really starting to hate this car. Any ideas, anyone? TIA.

Take it to ford.
Have them reprogram the remote.

Store it in a garage or under a car cover.

I guess some people are having issues using a keyfob.

You left the windows rolled down last time you used the vehicle and forgot about it?

Someone has your other fob and is messing with you?

How far is the dresser from the car? Any pets that might have stepped on the buttons?

I activate the buttons every now and then with the fob being in my pocket, but the fob has never spontaneously started messing with me.

Dresser is around 25 to 30 feet away from car "as the crow flies". The fob I use stays on top of the dresser and spare is in drawer in dresser. No kids at home and no pets atop dresser. This is stressful!

I have had key fobs like this with push button starts since 2007. 2 Maxima's had them. A 2007 and 2011. Plus my 15 GT.

Never had anything like this happen, ever. My fobs are never more than 20' away from the cars at all times, including the spares.

No idea what is going on with your stuff but something is truly amiss. I would take it to the dealership and get it reprogrammed as the other person mentioned or asked for 2 new fobs.

Turn the remote roll down feature off, it's under setting between the gauges, that would eliminate the fob, if it still does it, then it has to be something with the car

Wow. Thanks. I forgot you could turn that off. Will do as soon as I get home from work. Now, does anyone know how long it takes for the wet moldy stink to show up? :headbonk:

Have you checked that the fobs actually work from your dresser? Maybe something else weird is going on.

Hold the unlock button down but you will have to get in the car to put them back up. Pretty sure that is standard across the models.

I need to disable the roll down feature in my Fusion. I carry my fob around in my pocket. One morning I went downstairs to leave and the windows were all down and the sunroof was open. Thank goodness it was in the garage, but that makes me nervous. What if I have something of value in the car, or if it is raining like the OP and it goes down. I also get mad when the stupid unlock and lock on the handles quits working for a day or two. Then mysteriously it starts working again. That's why I get nervous about this technology. They own you with this, because its not something you can fix yourself. No warranty, no problem $$
