After doing some search around. finally found the knob I really want and its one of the kind. A little expensive but I think it will be worth it. it come with a master insert so I can switch it to different insert for different cars. I will get the adapter to go with it so it will work with reverse lock.

Made with real lapis lazuli, I think its going to be a great match with my DIP car. Love the fool's gold mixed in the stone and its all nature.

That's a gorgeous shift knob yjack! Wish I could find something similar to that for my black stang, something like a black marble with the same gold flake.

something like this maybe? Its a black moonstone. this seller usually charge between 100-200 depends on the rarity/quality of the stone. Then it will need to be pair with the speed dawn adaptor to work with S550.

I am a huge fan of spherical shift knobs, however, I feel like they're the only thing available for this car and most look so out of place in the newly updated and modern mustang interior. I want to find something that is appealing and modern to look at while keeping a functional feel. In a couple weeks I will be helping a local company back home get some dimensions for a prototype knob. I am not sure exactly what the finished product will look like but from what I have seen on the site they are beautifully designed and carry a hefty weight to give mechanical advantage on shift throws. Only down side is price is also a bit hefty, but given that they are a local shop to me, along with a few other incentives, I might just cave and scoop one up. http://www.raceseng.com/products/shift-knobs

I like the signatur in black with the shift pattern etched in. Again person preference and experience with heavier knobs is what is leading me in this direction. It really does improve the driving experience imho.

It took a little getting used with the reduced weight and added size, but I'm liking it a lot now. I had this one custom machined from speed dawg for my car.

Unfortunately, no. I contacted Speed Dawg directly to have this made. Cost was under 100 bucks, and it took just under 4 weeks to be delivered.

I can get measurements in the morning, but it's approximately a 1/2" bigger in overall diameter.

Lol, yea compared to $30 for most of these knobs. I am still dumb founded by the mustang aftermarket. People willing to spend $1000+ for an exhaust which offers nearly no immediate performance gains even with a tune, where you could literally have one fabricated from scratch for $400 or less and get equivalent performance and sound. I might give one of these cue balls a shot before I spend the kind of money they're looking for on the ones I posted, but I have a feeling it wont cut it for me.
