So if Ford is trolling this site I would love to have the option to pay extra for Grabber Blue and Im sure many of you have other colors you would love but are not offered. Many other brands allow you to purchase that option why not with the most advanced Mustang ever?

So if they offered it what would be the magic price to have you pull the trigger?

While I wasn't around in the 60's or 70's I hear it was possible to order a car with many different options which lead to more unique combinations. It seems to be these days that every option is tied to some sort of "package". I understand that allows for a more streamlined production process. It would be sweet if we were able to go down a check list of options (colors, wheels, tech, interior finish, etc) and select whatever options you would like without having to select a specific package.

Indeed, but there's a fairly robust aftermarket now that can take care of those things. Just order a stripped down version from the factory and then customize away. :D

I'm not saying it's realistic but the point being why wouldn't you want to one stop shop. Especially if you like a specific factory option. For those of us who finance our cars the cost of modifying would be included and under warranty. That's a win win.

That's how I have a Royal Maroon F-100. Original owner back in Tennessee custom-ordered it in that color with the 390 and 3-spd overdrive.

I'm still trying to figure out how rare it actually is. Next call is to the Henry Ford Museum.

Audi will allow for custom colors even in the US. Ranging from an extra premium set of colors not normally advertised to being able to pay up for whatever color you wish ($6k I think).

Which brings me to another point, in Europe you can fully customize any option from most manufacturers. No need for stupid "packages" which make you pay up for crap you don't want. Wish we had that here.

Which Audi though? I haven't seen that on their volume cars like the A4.

I think this has been a request for the longest time, and the answer is still no. The only way to currently get custom colors from Ford is to buy fleet sales, which requires a minimum of 10 cars to be ordered in the same name. They can then be transferred to another owner, but even with 0 miles on them, they would be considered 'used'. So if we can just find someone willing to front about $400,000 we could get 10 loaded GTs in the same color.

Surely the Grabber Blue Club could make this happen. :D

It just makes no sense to me that you have multiple shades of red and grey but not blue. Ford bleeds blue not red. I hate how all the cars that showed were red. I like DIB but its very hard to keep clean.

I believe it can be any car, but I've only heard of enthusiasts (s4,s5,rs5 etc) doing it or looking into it. Although now that I remember there is a bright orange A4 avant in california..

I believe they have a reddish orange that is a stock color. Audi currently has 12 colors stock and nearly 8 interior options alone. But then again, it's a luxury brand. Granted you pay A4 money for a GT premium, but that's all about speed and handling. I believe Ford could be a little more generous with their SVT line though!

I desperately hope Ford does this with the Mustang so I can get an I4 with GT fangs, spoiler and wheels... maybe even the hood vents :D

(oh and a small part of me wants the puddle lights from the current comfort package ;))
