Spare tire color options

I recently noticed that there are 2 versions of spare wheel/tire options, one is with a grey wheel and the other with a black wheel. Is there a difference between the two? Possibly one fits the big brake option vs the other not?

I just bought one for my '21 EB and it's the grey version and was told it came out of a '22 Mach I.

Anyone with any insight on differences? TIA

There is only one spare tire option from Ford and it does not work with the Brembo brake option. The wheel colors appear to be nothing other than manufacturing decision. This seller shows both on the website.

Just FYI, I do not believe Ford offered this spare tire kit with the Mach 1 because of the Brembo’s. Most likely the owner bought it separately and then realized they couldn’t use it.

Good idea for the full size spare, but too much trunk space real estate for my needs

Would be curious to see how many here have each color spare, for those that have that option.

Don't know about the color, but I can confirm the Ford spare does not fit Brembo cars, hence the pump and fix a flat in the tire well. I bought an aftermarket alternative spare (Automotive Authority) and it fits in the tire well just fine.
