So I've got my MBRP headers installed with an x-pipe and roush axle backs. I love the way it sounds but it's honestly ridiculous how loud it is. I plan on going to a chambered style muffler setup and doing electronic cutouts. I have an exhaust person who will be doing all the welding and such.

I'm trying to do a 3" x-pipe, to 3" cutouts and the mufflers. Has anyone used one of the universal x-pipe kits?

Yes, I've seen the roush active exhaust and the RTR dual mode mufflers. I'm not spending stupid money on something that can be done for 500-600.

I originally had the Stainless Works LMF with H-pipe on my GT. Too loud. Went to non LMF version which was less loud but still a bit much for the community I live in. I talked to Stainless Works and they made baffles which I had welded into the H-pipe. This produces a mellow deep-throated exhaust note that gets ones attention while not being obnoxious.

I talked some more with the guy who's doing my exhaust. He's going to be doing the headers back, for $550ish including all materials except the cutouts.
