My Fiancee's Comp Orange GT/PP order on 5/22/14 is showing 10/27/14 as the current build date. My Magnetic GT/PP ordered on 8/5/14 is showing 10/20/14 as the current build date. Both retail orders at the same dealer with the same priority.

yes exactly. think about how many stops along the way to either CA, or FL. 11 days is a bit fast. And people have to remember as well.. that just because your car is built on 10/20 doesnt mean its leaving that day. they have to fill up that train and might have to wait until 10/25 to do so. people have to think more into logistics.
Earlier this year my ordered car was put on a train in Toledo, Ohio on a Tuesday and arrived in the SF bay area on that Sunday evening. That was even with almost 24 hours sitting in a rail yard in Cheyenne, WY and a few more 4-8 hour layovers.

The rail cars are sorted and loaded by destination, so once they get rolling they can make up some miles fast, as long as they aren't re-sorting cars and building up new sets of cars in rail yards along the way.

The trick is the timing when the car gets to the rail yard and when the train leaves. If a train leaves just before a car gets there, that car is going to sit in the lot for a couple extra days before another train is full enough to leave.

Car built 10/21, on train 10/25, at regional hub 10/28, out to dealer 10/30, not outside the realm of possibility, at all. Would I bet $$$ on it, probably not. But I certainly wouldn't say it can't happen either.

I don't think the time from "In order Processing" to "Delivered" is going to be as long as some people think. Granted I live in Ohio, but this is the timeline of the car my dealership got this week. I'm hoping for, but not expecting, the same 8 day production to delivery time frame.
The date that is listed under each step is the date that that step ended, right? So 9/19, for example, is the date that your car went into production, and production completed on 9/23?

Had a build week of 10/26 a few days ago. Bumped up to 10/20 when I checked today. Order placed 6/10 (would have been a few weeks earlier if not for the lazy dealership).

What I wonder is how long it will take to get all the way out to Hawaii... I have no idea when it will get here.

Dumb question...but does anyone know exactly what "Schedule To Day" means in Ford speak?

My build "date" had been 10/13 and "scheduled to week". Last Friday (10/3) the status was changed to build date of 10/15 and "scheduled to date".
