I think it may be resin. I did like the feel of it when I owned the 19 bullitt but remember it was slightly loose in the summer heat but was easy to tighten without damaging. It's definitely not aluminum as that one was used on the 2001 and 2008 bullitts. I remember how freaking hot they would get in the summer and would point the a/c vent down towards it or sometimes remove it on really hot days.

Note: carry a pot holder! Lol
i had a golf club headcover that i used on hot days in my previous bullitts! if i still look closely i can see the shift pattern burned into my hand from the day i learned that lesson

Man, that knob must have really been hot to have burned the gearshift pattern into your hand. That would make for a cool t-shirt to have an open palm with a gearshift pattern in it. Put a caption above it that says: “There are many shift knob patterns, but this one is mine!” LOL

Aluminum knob baking in triple digit California heat all day. I get in the car not knowing any better, focused on trying to get the a/c on so I don’t die and I grab the shifter like it’s any other day and holy shit that thing must have been 500 degrees. Reminds me of the movie Home Alone when he grabs the door handle and there’s an electric charcoal starter on the other side. That was me in my car!

Yes you can do it. You will have to tap the threads on the 350 knob because they are different.
