Anyone else see this? I set the cruise control to 70 for example but the speedo shows 72. I used a GPS and confirmed that the speedo is in fact correct and the cruise control speed is actually 2 mph slow. It gets further out of calibration the faster you're going so you may not notice it at say 40 mph for example.

I have noticed that but never confirmed it with the GPS.

You're going to see a slight difference in speed from what you're actually traveling and what you're seeing on the speedometer when sitting in a normal driving position. this is because you're looking at it slightly to the left and its making it seem as though you're traveling faster than you are.

In other words, look at the speedo straight on and it'll show the right speed :headbonk:

Same here. I did look at the gauge straight on. When the needle was on 70 the set speed was like 68. They are definitely not the same.

My Ecoboost is also off by about 2 mph when looking at it straight on. Was hoping the cruise control indicator would be the correct mph, but will have to remember to set it 2 mph slower.

Mine is 2mph off as well, not too worried about it.

Checked mine this a.m. Set the CC to 70 and the gauge needle was right on the money.

It's Ford's way of helping police departments build revenue....

We'll find out which one is correct after someone posts a speeding ticket while engaged in cruise control!

My cruise control setting seems to match my Garmin GPS exactly. In the 60-65mph range, the speedometer is also right on. At 70-75, the speedometer seems to be 1-2mph fast, while the GPS and CC setting seem to remain in sync.

I only notice the speedo being different at speeds above 70, which I don't get to do a lot of in my part of the country.

I have also noticed this and go by the CC only because it further disciplines me in not getting a speeding ticket. I don't want to draw unnecessary attention to the window tint in the process, either, should someone be having a bad day. :D

What bothers me, however, is when the local speed limit displayed on the Navi's GPS is 5 mph *higher* than the signs posted outside! :tsk:

I was just thinking this same thing, and was gonna bring it up here. This is what I saw when on a short road trip
I can't stop looking at it, and it's kind of annoying.
