Crank relearn necessary after OPG install??

Just like the title says... I’m wondering, is a crank relearn is necessary after a opg install? If so, what is the process like exactly?

I only partially understand what a crank relearn is actually doing... not quite sure why it would be necessary but I wanted to be sure.

It may not be necessary with an OPG.

But any time you are doing a major repair on a 5.0 Coyote that involves the removal of engine, transmission OR timing aspects, it is a requirement to do the crank relearn procedure.
