Hi guys,

My V6 was idling super rough when I went to lunch today. I thought it was the typical A/C fluctuation, but it would really bounce hard between 500 and 700. Many times it felt like it was gonna crap the bed when it dipped real low. Must have been amusing for the others in the drive through lane...

Anyway, my thought was to do a idle relearn. From what I can tell you are supposed to disconnect the battery for 30 mins then start it back up to clear the PCM. Is that right?

I want to try simple stuff before taking it in.

This is common on the V6. Mine does it, but it's not bad. Just poor. My old Dodge Stealth with a V6 idled like a Cadillac.

The issue seemed to fix itself. My favorite problems are intermittent ones! HA!

I do expect there to be a rough idle sometimes but this case was super, super bad. If it shows up again I'll post an update.
