Morning 6gr's,

Over the weekend I decided to help out a family member who is going through a financial rough patch by paying him to install some goodies on my car, he's not a ASE mechanic but he's worked in Shops, just likes to:  a little too much. So with that said; I observed handed tools etc, since I wanted to make sure he earned it. Anyways, the items being installed were; SP089, SP082, CB005 and Steeda shock mounts. We didn't run into any issues with threaded bolts or anything of the sort. We weren't able to clock any bushings, because we didn't have a lift or tall enough ramps. I didn't get to drive the car since it rained over the weekend but when I parked this morning at work I noticed that I had slightly more poke from one of my rears, so it got me thinking and I've taken a tape measure to the car to get some numbers.

Before:
Wheel Gap
15.25" squared (taken from center of wheel to bottom of fender)
Poke
I didn't measure poke unfortunately but it looked pretty even and honestly didn't care since I was going to be lowering the car.

After:
Wheel Gap
14.50" upfront, equates to 3/4" drop :D

The rear is way off though
15.75" LR and 15.25" RR with that said I gained a 0.5" on the LR and stayed the same on the RR :tsk:

Poke
LR is now flush where as RR is now about 0.5" past the fender.

I know clocking the bushings is going to make it drop some but what goes for the Poke, is the cradle off you think or something that can be fixed with clocking the bushings? A prybar was used as per the BMR manual to insure it was centered but now I'm second guess the install.

It has not been aligned either, I'm hoping to do that within the next few days to let the springs settle. FWIW, I personally checked the springs to make sure they were sitting correctly on the spring pads.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

It's almost always the alignment.

Springs + CB005 = Alignment is likely WAY off.

The absolute best thing to do is pull the car up on the rack - clock the bushings, then align.

Keep us updated!

6 minute reply? Do you have eyes everywhere! Thanks for the reply, I'll get it aligned Wednesday to mark 100 miles give or take and circle back.
