I like my AWE Touring...turns heads and nice rumble.

This. As a first time Mustang owner and domestic owner, I absolutely didn't want the old-school exhaust sound that every piece of shit truck with Flowmasters here in Texas seems to have. To me, the pinnacle of V8 exhaust notes was the Ferrari 458 and the AMG 6.3I agree 100%. I think the Coyote is a beautiful sounding motor but it's very easy to make it sound import like. I've never understood the Corsa love affair that many have as it sounds raspy and metallic to me yet, I hear it on the streets all the time so to each his own.
Also, of all the V8 vehicles, I've noticed the Mustang has the largest component of former import owners. As such, it's possible they prefer a more import sound compared to the traditional V8 rumble which is what I wanted.
Do you force the sound with a stick or plunger? Some of the worst sounding coyotes have been those trying to force an old school muscle car exhaust tone.
It will never sound like a Windsor, and every attempt I have heard so far makes it drone like mad and sound like chit.
The Corsa is the best system that accentuates the coyote instead of trying to force it to be something it’s not.

It's no more hollow, tinny or metallic than the GT350. It's raspy, no doubt about it...which I love. It sounds like a high revving DOHC engine should…much more in-line with what you would hear in a V8 Jag or Mazeratie. The different sound the coyote makes is something that drew me to it. While I love the way my 2 chamber foxbody sounded (one of the best all time exhaust notes), it droned like a mother. The reason the Corsa sells so well and is the number one recommended (in here) is because for “most”, it sounds glorious. We don’t hear anything tinny or metallic. We hear no drone, and a hellacious bark when you slam the happy pedal.Do you force the sound with a stick or plunger?
You like the hollow, tinny, metallic exhaust note. It's ok, a lot of people like that exhaust note on the Mustang.
Some people like a deep, full, and throaty exhaust note.
I think most x-pipe set up allow too much flow at lower rpm resulting a hollow metal trash can beaten by a stick sound especially when the mufflers are not controlling it.Do you force the sound with a stick or plunger?
You like the hollow, tinny, metallic exhaust note. That's what I hear with a Corsa setup. It's ok, a lot of people like that exhaust note on the Mustang.

What I'm trying to say is I've heard a lot better exhaust setups/catbacks than the Corsas if you are wanting a non-rumble V8 exhaust note.
That's the dumbest logic I've eve heard. You sound just like the Bassani fanboys of 15 years ago.The firing order, nature of high revving DOHC and exhaust location will not allow it.
Haha, ignorance is no excuse for this comment. That's the dumbest logic I've eve heard. You sound just like the Bassani fanboys of 15 years ago.
There's low reving overhead cam engines and there's high reving overhead cam engines. There's low reving overhead valve engines and there's high reving overhead valve engines. I don't know what the engine type and how high or low the engine revs has to do with the type of exhaust note it's suppose to have. You're simply supplying your fantasy of what the Mustang is to you which is an affordable alternative to European V8 sport cars.Haha, ignorance is no excuse for this comment.
Go ahead, try your best to emulate the sound of the 4.6 or the 5.0 Windsor. You'll never come close.

You misunderstood me. I'm simply saying it's ridiculous to say a high reving overhead cam engine is only allowed to produce a "wale" sound.Do you not realize that the high vs low revving nature of an engine and it's cam are directly related...and that the exhaust note is again directly related to the cam. Oversimplified, but I don't understand how you can't connect the dots.
You should re-read my posts then. You misunderstood me. I'm simply saying it's ridiculous to say a high reving overhead cam engine is only allowed to produce a "wale" sound.
The coyote is a high revving, DOHC engine with a completely different firing order than older modular. It will never sound like a Windsor, and every attempt I have heard so far makes it drone like mad and sound like chit.
Simply put, the configuration of the coyote and the S550 will not allow for an old school muscle car sound. Throw the coyote in a foxbody with a different muffler/tailpipe location and the sound changes. Alter the firing order on top of that and you’ll likely get a sound similar to the 4.6 modular. The firing order, nature of high revving DOHC and exhaust location will not allow it.
I agree with everything you just said but...Throw the coyote in a foxbody with a different muffler/tailpipe location and the sound changes. Alter the firing order on top of that and you’ll likely get a sound similar to the 4.6 modular.
That's not fact, that's just your opinion. Agree to disagree.Simply put, the configuration of the coyote and the S550 will not allow for an old school muscle car sound.

Sure, it's an opinion on what you think old school muscle sounds like compared to what I think it sounds like...but that's it.I agree with everything you just said but...

I love the sound of the 4.6. So hollow and tinny...just a very unique note. Some of the worst sounding coyotes have been those trying to force an old school muscle car exhaust tone.

It’s funny, people used to bitch all the time about how the 4.6L sounded like shit…and how to make is sound more like the 5.0 windsor.
