Hey guys, sorry for the absence, took way longer (than it should have) to pick it up on Sat. By the time I got home I had a couple of neighbors waiting to check it out then spent yesterday cleaning, and Installing front splitter. Went on nice, involved job for sure but not particularly difficult and knowing that it's installed correctly was worth the effort. I have decided to leave the white OTT striping on, as it looks much better in person than I would have thought. Funny, everyone who has seen the car has told me to leave them on. Installed the Red Line hood struts last night but ended up removing them as they were just too stiff and felt like I was going to bend the hood trying to close it. I had cycled them 40 times per strut...disappointed as I've had great luck with the RLT struts in the past. Will look for different solution as 1970's prop rod must go!! I'm going to try again to upload pics.

Oh, by the way, this car is amazing on the road that engine, sweet shifting tranny, and the handling are fantastic...even the basic interior (Electronics pkg.) is nice. Fit and finsh of the body panels is pretty bad though, rear passenger bumper fascia has a noticeable gap I'm going to have my dealer fix. Also trunk lid needs to be re-aligned sits too high and too far forward. Still minor compared to how sweet that FPC engine is :)

Congrats again! I haven't thought about the splitter install, it wasn't that bad? I guess this also saves dealer prep time? How many miles do you have on her??

Thanks Rick, you must be going crazy waiting for yours to arrive? What stage is it in, built yet? I did the splitter myself as I had read of so many that were incorrectly installed and a few that actually came off at the track. Seems some Ford dealers install correctly and others do not. Go to you tube "" and check out this detail installation vid. I took my time and it was about an hour and a half or so.

Only about 60 miles but will be driving more now that I have the splitter installed. Looking forward to it and will report back. Having a hard time trying to resize photos so they can be uploaded, surprised this isn't done automatically when you are uploading here...more to come...

Rick if your car is loaded on the carrier and under way, you should have it very soon, you aren't that far from the plant in Flat Rock. I'm assuming your dealer has it properly prioritized, so it won't sit on the ground long once it arrives. Do you know if the carrier is going directly from the plant to your dealer or is there a drop where it is offloaded then put on another private carrier to the dealership? Since mine was prioritized by my dealer, it was loaded onto private transport carrier shortly after arriving by train at the final rail destination. I had it within two days after that!! Slowest segment was the "Awaiting Shipment" stage where it sat for 17 days...

Oh, FWIW, My original estimated delivery date was 10/06, then once it finally moved into shipping Status it was kicked out to between 10/14 and 10/20, however it arrived on 10/07!! Might have still had it on the 6th had the train not broken down near Kalamazoo, MI...

Another update: my '18 build-to-day was yesterday...and it held true! Just checked COTUS this morning and found "In Production: Completed 10.12.17" and the status moved to "Awaiting Shipment"...heck yeah! Now, I get to play transpo roulette / refresh COTUS even more (if that's even possible haha).

Haha, thanks Tom! I thought waiting for production to start was the worst; negatron, it's the shipping!
Wet, once you clear the "Awaiting Shipment" phase it should arrive quickly. I've generally experienced most of the delay during the Awaiting Shipment phase. Good thing is in the meantime you can read up on mods and start ordering so they are ready for install when the car arrives ;)

Question for anyone who preordered....I ordered an 18 from a local dealership about two weeks ago and the only thing I rec'd from them is a printout of the Preview order that shows the type of order the sales code etc. However I never rec'd a DORA and it has not showed up on COTUS and when I do an inventory search it does not show up as dealer ordered on Ford's website.

I am little nervous about this dealership as I rec'd a call saying that Ford is not building any more and I would get mine in 2018. I am fine with this, but I just want to make sure this dealership has an allocation and isn't jerking my chain.

Any insight on what you rec'd when you ordered would be helpful and if it shows up on the ford inventory search. I did read the sticky about the process and hope I posted this in the right spot.

My '18 order is "Awaiting Shipment" and finished production on the established blend date. I still do not have a DORA. However, I did receive the new Vehicle Order Confirmation (VOC), which is now called the "Preview Order Sheet" or "Preview Order Summary". In the bottom right corner of your order sheet, just below the "Customer Signature" line, you will see potentially one or two statements. I do not remember the exact phrasing for the first, but it is to the tune of "this does not confirm entry into order bank" or something like that (maybe someone can chime in if they remember). The second line is "This is not an invoice". Once FORD (not the dealer) accepts the order, the first line about the order bank will vanish. Until the aforementioned statement is gone, the dealer may not have an allocation confirmed with their regional rep.

Also, check your "Priority Code" and "Type", which are located at the top of your Order Sheet. This may help shed some light on your order. Below is the first post from this thread; it breaks down my process and "gates" thus far. My order finally showed in COTUS on 22 Sep, a few weeks after my sales rep gave me the build week and VIN.

Hello all! After many, many obsessive COTUS refresh rituals, my 2018 GT350 just popped up on the page. The tracking only works specifically on wwwqa.cotus.ford.com, with www.cotus.ford.com still being super helpful in divulging "A matching vehicle could not be determined. Please contact your dealer to get status updated about your order".

Additionally, ETIS has not changed since the first batch of details updated with the release of the VIN, reflecting just the placeholder information (ie vehicle line/ Engine/Transmission/build plant).

Order process thus far:
- 28 Jul; Build specs were given to my sale rep
- 29 Jul; Preview Order Sheet with a pri-code of 10
- 21 Aug (on or about); Ford tagged order with pri-code 01
- 31 Aug; VIN and "Scheduled to Week (Week of 09 Oct)"
- 01 Sep; "Scheduled to Day (12 Oct)"
- ETA: Between 31 Oct and 06 Nov
