^^That is a great question. My only reservation thus far. That said, the Borla system is $2300 that is essentially the same mid-pipe with their ATAK mufflers. That equates to the axle back mufflers costing about $1700. There seems to be a hefty Shelby tax.

As far as bottlenecking, I found myself less concerned after watching this (in case you missed it when I posted it elsewhere):
[ame]

Granted it concerns headers but I would think it would carry over.

The only thing I would think that would really make a difference with bottle necking in that video would be how much air our engine flows vs what they were using in that video.

Considering that engine made about 30 hp and 100 lb.ft. torque more it was probably pumping at least as much air.

I would never purchase Corsa again, I had 2 different sets of axle back systems on my 2008 Shelby GT......they're too quiet. I'm not gonna waste the time and money on an aftermarket exhaust system to have a tamed down version of what is on the car!
I'll stick with Borla...if I decide to change mine.

I have Corsa systems on other vehicles and love them. Their construction is second to none but I just don't hear enough of a difference from stock (w/res delete) to justify the purchase for my 350.

I didn't look at what theirs was making.
559 bhp, 528 lb.ft. Pretty stout. So I'm not too worried about the inch long 2.25" couplers in and out of the factory X.

Yeah, not too shabby at all. In that case guess I'll just do the resonator delete and forgo the custom x pipe.

The Borla has been on the market for a few months now amd easily purchased for well under 2300.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BOfWK1ghvsK/ here's a link to the newest prototype from corsa. The video is dark but it's about sound. I did a pull starting in 2nd and going to 4th red lining in 2nd and 3rd.
Sounds like they are getting the higher pitch I've been looking for without having to go to headers. Sounds great thanks!

My Corsa mid pipe should be here near the end of the month.

On my 2011 GT, I bashed in part of my header to make room for a starter replacement because one of the primaries wrapped around it. I love Kooks as a company and their products are crazy high quality but that design for the S197 Coyote was just fawking stupid as hell. For only that reason, I wish I had gone ARH. Kook's design for the S550 is considerably better.

When I hear Corsa, I generally think Corvettes and Euro. When I hear Borla, I think Mustangs and Mopar. I HATE Corsa exhaust systems on Mustangs. Blatty, choppy, and farty. On Corvettes though...my god. My friend has an E92 with a Corsa axle back exhaust and it sounds incredible.

With all this said though, Corsa will be getting contacted by me about that X pipe for sure.

It's definitely an improvement but it does seem to still have that "Blatty" sound.
