I had corsa sport and extreme. sport sound good and deep but not loud enough and extremes to high pitched for me. I went to borla ATAK instead. they are the in between and are still deep like the sports. I will say that corsa tips look better but oh well. for me it was about the sound

Ihavefat - Agree with you... kind of crazy to buy a new car and immediately replace exhaust for sound... on a sports car, none the less!

I haven't made a final decision since my car isn't here yet. I've been going back and forth between the ARH catback exhaust and Corsa Sport catback. For me, both sound great, no drone and without getting 'crazy wake the neighbors' loud which I think the Corsa Extreme tends towards (not saying it doesn't sound good, just loud).

If I had to pull the trigger today think I'd go ARH route.

Btw, what do you guys do with the stock exhaust. Just leave at the muffler shop and let them scrap. Living in the city I have no where to store and really think it would just collect dust anyway, no?

Just an FYI, Lethal Performance has discount pricing on Corsa exhaust. I just picked up Corsa 2015-2016 Mustang GT 3" XTREME Cat-Back Exhaust (Polished 4.5" Tips) from Lethal. Saved over $200 with the "CORSA" discount code. Free shipping as well.

Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
SALTY comment, asswhipe! :frusty:
How are you getting hurt over that comment? He is simply stating his opinion on the catback market.

I really like the Corsa axle backs and the cat backs but they all carry a hefty price tag..

They sound "exotic" and not to mention the lack of drone...

What are some good alternatives? For now 3 inch and what not doesn't matter because I will not be doing full exhaust any time soon.

Here is what kris5597 went with. Great sound at an amazing price, anything with an orx will give you a more exotic sound.

Here is lethal with their full ARH setup.

I got the Corsa Extreme over the holiday because I caught a good deal - $1175 (shipping incl.) plus additional $50 rebate back from Corsa. Final cost $1125. For me, I was willing to pay full price regardless but also was happy to pay a few hundred bucks less.

Anyone have any sound clips of a car with headers, stock resonator, and corsa sport/touring axleback? Deciding between catback and axleback. Would really not want to have a screamer at 2k rpms, which is why i'm leaning toward an axleback.

Don't have a video handy at the moment to link you to, but just search youtube.

I can however tell you that the corsa xtreme catback with headers is basically nascar levels of volume. Since you have headers already, and want the Corsa, either get the Sport axle-back, or the Touring mufflers with their x-pipe (also called Sport cat-back. Different than the Sport axle-back)

With Corsa, it's basically:
Sport mufflers = Sport Axle-Back
Sport mufflers + x-pipe = Xtreme Cat-Back
Touring mufflers = Touring Axle-Back
Touring mufflers + x-pipe = Sport Cat-Back (same volume as Sport axle-back, but you get the full 3" exhaust)

thanks man, that clears it up quite a bit.

If anyone was wondering, here's a video of what I was looking for.

I know Corsa runs a double X-Pipe on their Extremes. Has anyone done/tried a double X-Pipe setup on their current setup instead of a single X-Pipe? As far as I know, Corsa is the only manufacturer out there that runs a double X-Pipe. If there's others...who?

I hear what your saying, I love the sound of the Corsa Touring AB's its my fav for sure.....BUT due to postage and exchange rates etc I won't get any change out of $2000 sent to Australia....for Axle backs it's just too much, for what you guys pay I'd buy them for sure but I have to now wait to see what local australian manufacturers do so I can save the postage expenses.

Wouldn't you be able to get the Varex X-Force? I'm pretty sure they've got plenty of shops in Aus that have them.

Can you reorder the list in order of loudness? Is it this?
  1. Touring AB
  2. Sport AB
  3. Sport CB
  4. Extreme CB

According to Corsa:
Touring AB - 7dB over stock
Sport CB - 15dB
Sport AB - 16dB
Xtreme CB - 24dB

Stock is 74dB I believe.

Thanks for that info!
Every +6dB is subjectively heard as "double" loudness.

Sounds like Touring AB would be just right for me. Isn't that what you have now?
By contrast, Xtreme would be subjectively 4 times as loud!

You know, this gives me an idea for the exhaust manufacturers. All they have to do is reference each model against the stock system. So, no matter where they place the mic, or what technique or equipment they use, etc., it becomes an apples/apples comparison. No only that, but it provides the customer an objective measure of the loudness increase.
