The V6 definitely doesn't have the Strut Tower Brace as iCarumba has pointed out. I am not sure on the Ecoboost. Gt Premium has it.

Here's a pic of my V6. No tower brace, but the strut tower-to-firewall brace is outlined in yellow. I have not been underneath to confirm the existence of the lower K-brace yet.

I brought mine home 4 weeks ago today, and this is the first time I've been able to drive it with the top down. It turns out that 48 degrees is plenty warm enough to go topless!

Anyone know of a site where you can select different colored stripes to be shown on specific colored cars. Specifically, I would LOVE to see DIB V6 convertible with silver, white and gloss black stripes. I think the best stripe color might be one that matched as close as possible with the V6's 18" 5 spoke Foundry Black rims (which are kind of dark greyish??). Not sure if this questtion is best posed here, on the DIB thread or s stripes thread. Since convertible pics are fewest, I started here. ;)
Edit: Oh, I wonder if Magnetic Metalic stripes might tie V6 wheels in? ( off to look at V6 Magnetic convertibles for insight ;)

Another member showed the metal parts used on the "exterior". Only the PP Convertible had a 'Tower Brace' running from one strut back to the firewall then to the other strut. It has a flattened U-shape...not an arch over the engine between struts.

My car won't be delivered for another 10 days, so can't really comment for sure, till I see my car. Will let you know when I inspect my V6 convertible personally.

Maybe I should have posted this on the convertibles page, but over on the 'Order - Price - Tracking' thread I detailed the 'Cash Price' I got plus my understanding of dealer invoice on the car and options and questions about that.
