You and I have different definitions of clean, then. Or the level of care taken.Lol. It’s not really that hard. It take maybe ten minutes to do all 4. If i am washing my car anyways i don’t care as i enjoy it as it’s like wrenching on my car. It’s a zen type thing. Just get some microfibers and keep them only for the wheels and a dedicated bucket and fill with car soap. Then clean.
An hour? :eyebulge:You and I have different definitions of clean, then. Or the level of care taken.
With my stock PP wheels it took me nearly an hour to clean just the wheels.
I totally get the idea of getting things really clean from time to time, but they are wheels and will be covered in brake dust and road dirt literally within minutes of leaving the driveway. If you are taking an hour I would say the difference between 98% clean and 99% clean is about 45 minutes. There is a such thing as clean enough. You and I have different definitions of clean, then. Rofl. I have the silver PP wheels. Trust me if they aren’t clean you can tell. Normally i clean those more often so it doesn’t take more than that. But an hour even with microfibers means you must be getting more than brake dust on them. You trying to clean the paint off?You and I have different definitions of clean, then. That's what I did. Now I have 5 spoke silver wheels (MMR VP5). 100x easier to clean and lighter.Sell them and get lighter wheels. Problem solved.
Good enough and "right" are not mutually exclusive. On the contrary, good enough is by definition "right" since less would not be good enough. Good enough simply recognizes that you can always do better but you will never finish.*shrug*
I try my best not to do anything "well enough" in life. If something is worth starting, it's worth doing right.
Not to mention, detailing is a hobby, and my methods do *not* induce scratching/marring.
Luckily, with my new CF5Vs, wheel/tire time is down to approximately 30 minutes now.
Still takes between 3 and 4 hours from start to finish on my car. 4 to 5 hours for the truck.
Hey H@mmer, you wanna do lunch at 1?*shrug*

More than you know.Hey H@mmer, you wanna do lunch at 1?
Sorry I'm washing the vehicles. But I'll be done in about 9hrs!
I combine the two. I catch and release the dirt on my wheels.More than you know.
But, no different than "Hey Nomadic, wanna get lunch at 1?" "Sorry, I'll be on the water fishing all day" [or whatever your hobby is]
You were close. Mine is farting.More than you know.
