I'm (hopefully) going to the drag strip for the first time in my life this upcoming weekend. I have a Green filter in my GT, and I still have the stock paper filter in the garage. Do you guys think I'd be able to get a reasonable comparison between the two by switching the filters out from run to run, and kind of putting together some data that way? My concern is that this won't allow the ECU to properly adjust because it'll be bouncing back and forth between the two. I was just brainstorming on this, thinking it could our forum brothers and sisters make a more informed air filter decision going forward. What do you all think?

I think that merely a filter will have basically 0 difference in power thus 1) you won't really see any difference in your time (at least due to the filter itself) and 2) your PCM won't have any issues quickly adapting between the two.

There's going to be more variance in your quarter mile time & trap due to driver error and slight difference in IATs or other engine factors than between two filters.

Yes I would personally love this test. I’ve been wondering lately if I should do a drop in filter and this would really help. I think any kind of tests help! Thank you!

Tempted to try that as well, just to see. I doubt I'd see any tangible difference, same as with the filters, without any other mods.
